Comet products are a result of re-engineering of world renowned Peter engines. In doing so we have never resorted to the tempting reverse engineering. We have, with our own determined efforts, come up with unique and efficient designs for which the government of Maharashtra has rewarded us on four occasions.

However competition is always alert, agile and articulately adept in adapting. Our engines too have been copied and adapted by various manufacturers from prominent production centres like Agra and Rajkot. Today market shelves are full of ‘Comet look alike’ products. But avid aficionados fondly remember the trend setter and have coined a new name for these products by calling them ‘COMET type’. 

‘The proof of the pudding is in eating’. The real COMET enjoys many decidedly obvious advantages over the ‘COMET TYPE’ products and cheap Chinese engines. But one could only know the difference when one uses the original COMET.

1) Comet engines are designed and developed by R & D department of Rocket Engineering who are pioneers of light weight diesel engines of portable series which are popularly known in the trade as Comet type engines.

2) Comet engines are known for its durability, sturdiness and consistent performance. Our designs are adopted by many players in the market including Kirloskar Oil Engines by making cosmetic changes.

3) Since construction of Comet engines is vertical it is convenient and acceptable to the customers for multiple applications.

4) Pumpset operating cost of Comet engines is less because of less fuel (6 %) and oil consumption (50 %) for the same rated output. We are making further efforts to bring down the fuel & oil consumption and further reduce the operating cost of the engine.

5) Unlike our counterparts, our Cub & Colt series engines use Bosch make fuel injection equipment which give consistent performance for longer time and results in fuel economy.

6) Our engines can run for 8 to10 hours continuously and also can sustain 10 % overload because of higher swept volume as compared to our look alike and Chinese engines.

7) Our engines are available in variable speed version; hence customer can adjust the engine speed as per his site requirement. Accordingly he can protect the engine from getting overloaded or can obtain the maximum head depending upon his requirement.

8) Cub 5 HP water cooled engine pumpset are available in three centrifugal pump varieties (medium head, low head 3″X3″& 4″ X 4″).Hence customer can choose the appropriate pump depending upon his site requirement.

9) Factory built assembled pumpsets are supplied to avoid misalignment & mismatch of the pumpset along with good quality flexible rubber coupling pad and coupling bolts to get trouble free longer life.

11) Critical components of our engines are manufactured in house on special purpose machines as well as latest manufacturing techniques and ISO system standards are implemented to manufacture the engine. Hence consistent quality is achieved for every engine.

12) Since our engines are simple in construction, any mechanic available in rural area having knowledge of repairing Peter type engines can dismantle & reassemble the engine easily.

 13) Our engines bear one year warranty & on site after sales service to support the customers across the country. Similarly O.E. engines spares are easily available in the market for replacement purpose.

14) Ours is the only standing make in India machine which can give other domestic engines and Chinese engines a run for their money.
